Narrow Valley Wines initiated in 2006. Founded by Alan Epstein and Nicolas Saelzer, with over 40 years of combined wine experience, they began planting the Curacavi section of world class Maipo valley under organic philosophy and pioneering hillside planting in this part of Maipo valley. In 2012 Narrow Valley began exports to the international markets, reaching North America, Europe and Asia in record time. With a philosophy of delivering premium Chilean value wines in all categories (Gran Reserva, Reserva and Classic wines). Our wines are enjoyed today in the most demanding international markets including USA, UK and China among many others. In 2014 we acquired a new estate in the Calera section of Maipo valley, in between the Andes mountains and the Coastal range and near the Maipo river, planted in 2015 with Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Carmenere. In 2016 we began construction of new winemaking and bottling facilities in Calera. During 2016 and early 2017 we have imported all new production equipment from Italy to deliver our wines under the highest quality standards.
Alan Epstein, born and bred in South Africa is a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Witwatersrand. Diplomé de Sciences Po in Paris he is also MBA from the Harvard Business School. More recently he spent time studying wine-making in Stellenbosch. After a lifetime in the Graphics Industry in Chile he and his wife Nory now enjoy their time between Santiago and making boutique wine at their vineyard in Maipo Valley planted with Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Nicolas Saelzer, born in New York, studied design at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and later business at Indiana University. He holds diplomas in Business, Marketing and Wine. Nicolas worked in the Graphics Industry in the early days of Apple computers. In 2001 joined the Wine Industry in Chile holding managerial positions in premium wineries such as Errazuriz, Caliterra and Seña. Nicolas and his wife Pilar have together seven wonderful children. They all enjoy outdoors in Chilean Patagonia.
